PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTINUING! Welcome to the CallBoard. We are not exclusive nor clique-y, though we may seem that way. It's just that a lot of us know each other face-to-face, and therefore we have back story with each other. The CallBoard is intended to be a theater community board (as opposed to a community theater board - we've got all sorts of levels here) for the Minneapolis/St. Paul/Greater Minnesota area. If you are not in that area, you are still more than welcome to join and post. Just be aware that again, most of us have worked together in some capacity, so we may treat each other in a manner that would not be acceptable for a stranger to treat us. There are really only two basic rules here: Don't Be an Asshole, and Introduce Yourself. Introduce Yourself – pretty self-explanatory. As we have stated, we all tend to work together. This board is also designed to foster a sense of community and theatrical give-and-take, and therefore we demand that anyone who registers with us let us know exactly who we are talking to. Names are good, and context (What You Do, what companies you've worked with, how you found us, who you know on the board) is fantastic. We will delete anyone who does not provide us with an acceptable introduction and your First and Last name in your profile! The Don't Be an Asshole rule covers all of the usual legal jargon – you agree to not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, hateful, harassing, obscene, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of ANY law. You agree to not violate copyright rules – if you post something copyrighted, either have permission or only post a snippet and be sure to include attribution. You agree not to flame. We have lively debates here, but again, remember that we work together, and so temper your arguments accordingly. Everyone is entitled to their point of view and the right to express it in a polite manner. Everyone. We do get to swear here, which is pretty damn cool. If you're offended by that, we suggest you move on. Sailors have nothing on some of us. We often make innuendoes and double-entendres, and it is up to the people on the receiving end (heh) to determine if they are offended by it or not. Do. Not. Spam. Us. We will hunt you down and kill you. Our penises and our breasts are quite large enough, thank you, and we don't have enough time to move money to Nigeria. We include pyramid schemes and flooding in our spam definition. Since we are a working community, we do post notices of events, request assistance, and advertise our wares &/or services. There are specific places to do that – you post it anywhere else, we'll delete or move it. The moderators here also work for a living, so we cannot be on the board every second of every day, and we most definitely do not take responsibility for the content of other people's posts (or anyone's spelling). If you feel that something is objectionable or worrisome, please notify your mods ASAP, and we will assess the situation and take action within a reasonable time frame. We always have the power to delete or move posts, and exercise that right with care. However, this is a manual process, so please understand that it will take time. The above applies to member information as well as member posts. You are solely responsible for the content of your posts, and agree to indemnify this forum and related websites from any negative action. We have the right to sell out you out to the highest bidder or the Feds, whichever comes first. (We won't sell your personal information, we promise. And if we do, we'll give you a cut of the money.) Quoting "The Simpsons" will get you places. Amusing ones. When you register, you get to choose your username. This is a sacred task, and not to be chosen lightly. Please be sure to keep the name appropriate, and guard your password with your life. Don't share your password with others, as they might post inflammatory and evil things under your name and then we'll have to kill your innocent self. Don't use another poster's account, for much the same reason. Continuing on the evil theme, we record your ISP address with every post you make, every breath you take.
